To enter, the contestant(s) submits an erotic photo of themselves that they believe best depicts the beauty, glamour, freedom and eroticism of swinger lifestyle, in other words what they think best portrays the swinger-lifestyle for them. Monthly heats with prizes will take place and the winner of each heat will be entered into the grand final to be judged in December 2006
The Miss Swing idea was conceived by a swinger couple whilst they were holidaying in France. They read an article in a French swingers magazines about a national contest dedicated to the swinger lifestyle. Entry was free and it offered some really great prizes. It turned out that this event is huge on the continent and has an enormous following from swingers all over Europe. Heats are throughout France with all the major swinger clubs taking part. There is a very large gathering at Cap D’age for the finals every autumn and needless to say, a fantastic swinger party accompanies the event. To mimic an event such as this in the U. K. was never going to be easy. The warm press coverage and cultural attitude towards the swinger lifestyle in continental Europe is matched by cold indifference and even hostility in the U. K. Consequently, no major backers have yet been found. After two months of attempts to promote the Miss Swing contest here, its promoters realised that they would have to scale it down in the hopes that it will grow in future years. A search for sponsors also proved to be much more difficult in the UK than it is in France. Nevertheless, The main prizes were donated by Papillon des alps and Club Atlantis in Stoke-on-Trent and additional support cam from the Adult Hub and Lovehoney U.K. Finally the contest was launched on January 1st 2006.
